Woodworkers and history buffs, this one's for you! This auction features items out of Pleasant View Church located in Newcomerstown, Ohio. The church was built in 1899 and after 100+ years it is time for the building to come down. Looking for an antique bell to put on display? We have the one for you, an 1883 Henry McShane Co. Church Bell. McShane Bell Foundry is the oldest bell company in the United States. Based out of Baltimore, Maryland, the company was founded in 1856 by Henry McShane, an Irish Immigrant that came to the country just years before. Along with the bell there is a selection of various sized church pews that just need to be brought back to their old former glory, and would make for a fun winter project. The original stained glass is a sight that you just have to see to appreciate, repurpose them for other unique projects or add them to the construction of another building. From doors to the church sign on the front of the building, there is history all throughout this auction. Don’t miss your opportunity to bid on these fantastic pieces of local history!
